On March 22, one of our first graders, Brooklynn, passed away unexpectedly. Brooklynn was a student in Ms. Briscoe’s classroom. She was a friend to many and shared her time at Mary Endres with her 2nd grade brother, Noah and 4th grade sister, Alyssa. All of us at Mary Endres and District 200 are saddened by this tragedy.
Brooklynn’s, Noah’s, and Alyssa’s classmates and friends will need our support during this difficult time. Counselors will be available at our school to help students and staff to process this loss. Students may exhibit all levels of emotions, ranging from crying, numbness, and just wanting to be close to family and friends. All are normal responses. Please do not hesitate to contact the main office if your child is in need of assistance. At this time we have no further information regarding arrangements. However, a Go Fund Me page has been set up to help with expenses. If you are interested in donating, click on the link. Please know the Mary Endres staff is available to help your child in any way we can during this difficult time.
