December 16, 2014Research shows that students who participate in physical activity before they begin their academic classes have a longer attention span, have higher reading comprehension scores, and perform better on standardized tests than students who do not exercise. Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 has been awarded a grant to enhance physical activity and healthy lifestyles for our students and their families that we are calling SHAPE Woodstock.
December 9, 2014After many years of service to District 200, our principal’s secretary, Mrs. Laurie Kogler, is retiring. Mrs. Kogler’s last day at Mary Endres will be Friday, December 19th. Thank you, Mrs. Kogler for your years of hard work and service, and for taking such good care of all of us at Mary Endres. We wish you all the best in the future. You will be missed!
December 8, 2014As professionals dedicated to safely transporting children, the care and protection of our students is always on the minds of the D200 Transportation staff. As winter approaches (bringing with it winter driving conditions), the Transportation Department would like to remind all D200 families of some important safety guidelines.
December 5, 2014The District 200 annual Winter Student Art Show kicks off with an opening reception at the Woodstock Public Library on Monday, December 8 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Student works of art from all grade levels will be on display from December 8 through January 12, 2015, during the library’s normal business hours.
December 2, 2014In our recent newsletter we shared a District calendar which indicated that Friday, December 19 is a half day. Unfortunately, there was erroneous information in that calendar. December 19, which is the last day of school prior to Winter Break, is a full day of attendance, with dismissal at the regular times. The correct calendar is posted on the website under “Quicklinks” and is also linked below. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
December 1, 2014Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Mary Endres music performance featuring Mrs. Hayes', Ms. Briscoe's, and Mrs. Rodolfo's 1st grade students, which was originally scheduled for Thursday, December 4th, at 6:30 p.m., has been rescheduled. The program will now take place on Wednesday, December 10th, at 6:30 p.m. The 7:45 a.m. rehearsal will also take place on December 10th. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change.

November 18, 2014Project Mistle-Toes is an inexpensive way to spread some holiday cheer to kids who are hospitalized over the holidays. Purchase a fun pair of holiday or winter-themed socks and drop them off in the basket in the MEES school office by Friday, December 12th.
