August 25, 2016More than 1000 total years of hard work were recognized recently at the District’s annual back-to-school kick-off meeting for all staff. Fifty-seven staff members from all areas of the district were recognized and thanked for their contributions. Special congratulations went to Kirk Benda, Joy Fister, Kathy Shea and Tom White, for 30 years of service. Please see “Read more” below for photos and a listing of all who were honored.
August 22, 2016District 200 5th grade families – now is the time to join band! In the first few weeks of school, all 5th grade students will see a band instrument demonstration assembly, hear all the instruments and learn about how band works, and then get the opportunity to try out the instrument choices. The Band Handbook and registration materials will be going home shortly after the assembly to get students signed up.
August 19, 2016A reminder to D200 staff members – The motto of the District 200 Education Foundation is “Making Things Happen That Ordinarily Would Not.” Let them help YOU make things happen in District 200 by applying for a 2016-17 Ed Foundation Impact Grant. The grant application process is now open.
August 15, 20164th Grade Beginning Orchestra will be starting very soon! The students will hear demonstration concerts on Friday, August 19th at their elementary school. The instruments are Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass. The 4th grade students will all receive information packets to bring home on August 19th.
August 12, 2016District 200 is pleased to announce the implementation of a new online system which will allow parents easy access to current bus routing information. The information available to parents reflects all changes in busing routes. However, it does not provide real-time tracking of buses. See "Read more" below for log-in information. The log-in link can also be accessed from all school websites by using the blue navigational bar on the left side of the page, labeled "Bus Route Info."
August 4, 2016As we prepare for a new school year, the D200 Transportation Department has an important reminder for our rural families: Please make sure that your address is clearly marked in front of your driveway or road so the bus driver can easily find your stop.
August 1, 2016The Mary Endres PTO is beginning to plan a fun filled Timberwolf Trek tentatively scheduled for the week of August 29th. (more info to follow once school is back in session) For those of you who may be new to Mary Endres, the Timberwolf Trek is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Students walk or run around the track at school during physical education classes. Money donations are collected by students and prizes are awarded.

April 29, 2016Congratulations to Mary Endres Elementary School 4th Grade Dual Language teacher Katie Jacobson, who is the Star 105.5 Teacher of the Month for April. Radio station Star 105.5, in cooperation with Home State Bank, sponsors a Teacher of the Month program to honor outstanding teachers in McHenry County. Ms. Jacobson was nominated by Mary Endres student Mackinzee, who cited her teacher's ability to “make learning really fun.”
